Pete's Christmas

Synopsis

Pete is the middle child – he’s not a genius like his brother Kenny, nor a star athlete like his brother Jake. Pete doesn’t think he’s much good at anything, leaving him feeling forgotten amidst the talents of his siblings. Christmas day – he hopes – will be one day when he can forget his role as the black sheep of the family and enjoy exciting presents and a nice, family dinner.

Unfortunately for Pete, everything goes wrong. First, Pete’s parents forget to get him a gift, while Kenny gets the gift that Pete really wanted. Jake then causes mayhem by overloading the circuit breaker and knocking over the Christmas tree, blaming Pete for it. With the power out, the oven is useless and the family goes out to dinner at the only open restaurant in town, which gives them all food poisoning. To make matters worse, Pete’s father has just lost his job, which causes a huge fight between Pete’s dad and his grandfather, resulting in Pete’s grandfather storming out. After all of this, Pete is glad to see this day come to a close.

But when Pete wakes up the next morning, he realizes that the day hasn’t ended. It’s just beginning… all over again. Pete is stuck in an endless Christmas loop!

While it should be a dream for most kids, this Christmas is Pete’s worst nightmare. Although at first Pete stays focused on avoiding all of the unfortunate incidents he knows will happen during the day, he soon realises he must find the ability to change everything for the better and bring his family, and his neighbourhood, closer together. Pete’s Christmas is bound to be a new Christmas classic for the whole family.
